Conditions We Address
Many chronic conditions that are labeled "incurable" are actually driven by underlying metabolic dysfunction that responds remarkably well to targeted nutrition and lifestyle interventions.
Our approach
We don't treat conditions โ we treat the patient. The conditions below are common patterns we work with, but every program is built around your specific biology, lab results, history, and goals. Book a free call to talk through your specific situation.
Metabolic Conditions
Type 2 diabetes is fundamentally a disease of carbohydrate intolerance and insulin resistance โ both of which are highly responsive to dietary intervention. Through precision nutrition, many patients see dramatic improvements in A1C, fasting glucose, and insulin sensitivity. Medication reduction or elimination is a realistic goal for many patients in our program.
Prediabetes is not inevitable progression โ it's a window of opportunity. Insulin resistance, the root of most metabolic disease, responds powerfully to the right nutritional approach. We intervene early and aggressively to reverse metabolic dysfunction before it progresses to full diabetes or cardiovascular disease.
When multiple metabolic risk factors cluster together โ high blood sugar, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol, abdominal obesity โ it signals systemic dysfunction. We address the underlying drivers rather than treating each marker in isolation with separate medications.
When diet and exercise "aren't working," it's almost never a willpower problem โ it's a hormonal and metabolic one. We identify the specific drivers: insulin resistance, thyroid dysfunction, gut dysbiosis, cortisol patterns, or other metabolic bottlenecks keeping you stuck.
Cardiovascular Health
Blood pressure is directly modulated by diet, sodium-potassium balance, weight, inflammation, and insulin resistance. Many patients on multiple antihypertensive medications are able to reduce or eliminate them once the underlying metabolic drivers are corrected. We manage this transition carefully and safely.
Standard lipid panels (LDL, HDL, triglycerides) tell an incomplete story. True cardiovascular risk requires understanding particle size, inflammation markers like hs-CRP, homocysteine, and insulin resistance. Our advanced cardiac assessment gives you the full picture and a targeted plan to address real risk.
Gastrointestinal Health
The gut is the epicenter of immune function, inflammation, and metabolic health. Many seemingly unrelated conditions โ from IBD to depression โ trace back to gut dysfunction.
Chris personally came off all his UC medications through dietary intervention โ and helps patients do the same. UC is deeply influenced by gut microbiome composition, dietary triggers, and immune dysregulation. Remission through nutrition is a real, evidence-supported possibility for many patients.
Like UC, Crohn's has significant dietary and environmental triggers that can be identified and addressed. Nutritional therapy โ including elimination protocols, specific dietary patterns, and gut microbiome restoration โ can dramatically reduce disease activity and medication burden for many patients.
GERD is one of the most over-medicated conditions in America. In most cases, it's driven by low stomach acid, gut dysbiosis, and dietary patterns โ not too much acid. Proton pump inhibitors suppress symptoms while making the underlying problem worse. We address the root cause and help patients safely discontinue PPIs.
Additional Conditions
Autoimmunity is fundamentally driven by gut permeability, immune dysregulation, and often specific dietary and environmental triggers. While we don't claim to cure autoimmune disease, targeted functional medicine interventions can dramatically reduce disease activity and improve quality of life.
The gut-brain axis is one of the most powerful and underappreciated connections in human health. Gut dysbiosis, inflammation, blood sugar dysregulation, and nutritional deficiencies are common drivers of depression and anxiety. Chris personally experienced this โ and resolved both through metabolic intervention.
Thyroid function, sex hormones, and adrenal output are all deeply intertwined with metabolic health, gut function, and nutrition. We evaluate these through comprehensive lab panels and address underlying drivers rather than simply replacing hormones with medication.
